This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite parties to give promotion to them as per the gradation list and as per the decision of the apex Court in the cases of R.K. Sabharwal v. State of Punjab, AIR 1995 SC 1371 and N. Nagraj v. Union of India, (2006) 8 SCC 212, within a stipulated time.

In course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners states that highlighting the grievances, the petitioners have made representation to the opposite party no.5 vide Annexure-6 series and the same may be directed to be disposed of within a stipulated time, to which learned State Counsel has raised no objection. 4.
As agreed to by learned counsel for the parties, however, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this writ petition stands disposed of directing the opposite party no.5 to consider the representation filed by the petitioners vide Annexure-6 series, and pass appropriate order in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
