This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

The Petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition with the following prayer:- "It is therefore prayed that the Writ Petition may be admitted, relevant records be called for and after hearing the counsels for the parties the Writ Petition may be allowed directing the Opp. party No.2 to refer the claim of the petitioners under Section 3-H(4) of National Highways Act, 1956 to the Competent Authority to determine the entitlement of the petitioners for compensation in respect of their acquired land in the event of his failure to pay the same."

And pass such other order/orders as may be deemed just and proper.

And for this act of kindness, the petitioners as in duty bound, shall ever pray."

He further submits that through highlighting their grievances, the petitioners have filed a representation vide Annexure-7 to the Writ Petition, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, they pray that a direction

be issued to opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period. 5.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioners.
