This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode).

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Addl. Government Advocate for the State of Odisha.

// 2 // The petitioner Sasmita Parmanik has filed this writ petition challenging the candidature of opposite party no.5 Rubina Pattanaik and her selection and appointment as Anganwadi Helper in Gaudapatana-1 Anganwadi Centre under ICDS Project, Begunia in the district of Khurda by the Sub-Collector -cum-Chairman, Anganwadi Selection Committee, Khurda (opposite party no.3) and Child Development Project Officer (opposite party no.4) on the ground that the opposite party no.5 who is completely a stranger by producing the fake Adhar Card and having less qualification than the petitioner, has been selected.

It is further submitted that ventilating her grievances, a complaint petition has been made before the Sub-Collector -cum- Chairman, Anganwadi Selection Committee, Khurda on 01.11.2022 and therefore, necessary order be passed directing the Sub-Collector to consider the application of the petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously.

Learned counsel for the State has no serious objection to such prayer.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties and in view of the limited nature of prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the opposite party no.3 Sub-Collector -cum- Chairman, Anganwadi

// 3 // Selection Committee, Khurda to dispose of the complaint petition of the petitioner under Annexure-6 in accordance with law after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and all concerned preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of production of the copy of this order along with a copy of the writ petition, if the same has not been done in the meantime and the decision taken on the complaint petition shall be communicated to the petitioner within two weeks from the date of taking the decision.

Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. Issue urgent certified copy as per Rules.
