This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

On 09.03.2022, when the matter was taken up, none had appeared for the petitioner and the following order was passed:- "The writ petition has been registered before this Court on 6th December, 2021, after the original application was transferred from the learned Odisha Administrative Tribunal, Cuttack Bench, Cuttack upon its abolition.
On perusal of the available order sheets of the learned Tribunal, it is indicated that the matter was never taken up after 08.01.2014.
The original application was filed before the learned Tribunal in the year 2013 by the petitioner/applicant who had retired on attaining age of superannuation, working as a Peon in the District Panchayat Office, Jajpur inter alia seeking a direction to get pension which was not sanctioned in view of the initiation/pendency of a criminal case on the allegation of misappropriation as well as initiation of a departmental proceeding under Rule-15 of the Orissa Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1962. It is submitted by the learned Addl.
Standing Counsel that considering the nature of
// 2 // grievance raised before the learned Tribunal and for the fact that the matter not being pursued for about 8 years, nothing would survive for adjudication.
To grant another opportunity to the petitioner, list on 12th April, 2022."

Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State reiterates the submissions as noted in the order dated 09.03.2022.
