This matter is taken up through virtual/physical mode. 2.

The Original Application No. 2056 of 2017 was filed before the State Administrative Tribunal, Bhubaneswar. After its abolition, the same has been transferred to this Court which is renumbered as WPC (OA) No. 2056 of 2017.

The Petitioner, Headmaster of Pitamber Nodal U.P. School, under Block Education Officer, Bhadrak, challenging notification No. 16167/SME-GHS-GHS-0080-2015 issued by Government of Odisa in School and Mass Education Department, dated 30th August, 2017 with regard to merger of Government Upper Primary School with nearby/adjacent Government High Schools has come up before this Court for quashing of the same.

At the time of hearing today, counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the said notification being superseded by another notification, the relief sought for in the present case does not survive. Hence, the matter has been rendered infructuous.

In view of such submission, the writ petition is disposed of as infructuous.
