1. The matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. The petitioner was serving as Rural Labour Inspector under the Labour Commissioner, Odisha. While continuing as such, he was promoted to the post of Assistant Labour Commissioner by the Labour Commissioner, Odisha vide order dated 17.05.2012 and was posted at District Labour Officer, Rayagada. Thereafter, the petitioner was transferred to the District Labour Officer, Nilgiri vide order dated 09.10.2012. The petitioner filed O.A. challenging the said transfer order dated 09.10.2012 before the Tribunal.

3. Since the matter was for transfer from one station to another and the O.A. was filed in the year, 2012, which has been transferred to this Court, the cause of action seems to have been extinguished by efflux of time. Furthermore, the petitioner must have retired by now.

4. In view of the above, the writ petition stands disposed of as infructuous. The interim order dated 16.10.2012 passed by the Tribunal stands vacated.
