This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

This is the second journey of this petitioner, who is in custody in connection with Bhadrak Rural P.S. Case No.200 of 2021 corresponding to Special (NDPS) Case No.55 of 2021 pending in the Court of the learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special (NDPS) Judge, Bhadrak for offence punishable under sections 21(c) & 29 of the NDPS Act in filing this application under section 439, Cr.P.C. for his release on bail.

Upon hearing the learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State and on going through the materials available on record as also the surrounding circumstances, finding no such change in the circumstance, while being not inclined to reconsider the prayer for grant of bail to the Petitioner, this application stands disposed of with the observation that the trial court would do well to take all effective steps as provided in law for conclusion of trial as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two months hence.

The BLAPL is accordingly dismissed.
