Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 18.08.2021 in connection with Laxmisagar P.S. Case No. 264 of 2021 corresponding to T.R. Case No. 369 of 2021 pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge, Khurda, Bhubaneswar for the alleged commission of offence under Section 21(C)/29 of NDPS Act.

Considering the fact that the contraband seized is more than commercial quantity and the petitioner was present at the spot along with the co-accused from whose possession, the contraband was seized, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore, rejected. 5.

The BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
