2. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

3. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite party to appoint him as against the post of VLW following Rule-8 of the Orissa Village Level Worker (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2008.

4. Mr. P.K. Rath, learned counsel for the petitioner contended that during pendency of the writ petition, Government has brought up a new rule, i.e., Orissa Panchayat Executive Officers Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021 and, by virtue of the same, the relief sought in the present writ petition, cannot be granted to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner may be permitted to pursue his remedy before the appropriate forum claiming relaxation of Orissa Panchayat Executive Officers Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021.

5. In view of the above submission, this writ petition stands disposed of permitting the petitioner to pursue his remedy before the appropriate forum claiming relaxation of Orissa Panchayat Executive Officers Service (Method of Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021 in accordance with law.
