Heard learned Counsel for the parties.

The Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite parties to appoint the Petitioner in the vacant post under SEBC category for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Mechanical) in pursuance to the advertisement No. 03 of 2015. 4.
On perusal of the record, more particularly the counter affidavit filed by the OPSC, it reveals that the Petitioner has applied under UR (Male) category and has secured 291 marks whereas the lowest marks secured by the candidates selected under UR (Male) category was 297. Therefore, the Petitioner could not be selected for such recruitment being an UR (Male) candidate. 5.
In view of the above, the writ petition merits no consideration and the same stands dismissed.
