This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

This is the successive journey of the Petitioner, who is in custody in connection with Jeypore Sadar P.S. Case No.86 of 2018 corresponding to T.R. Case No.25 of 2018 pending in the court of the learned Sessions Judge-cum-special Judge, Koraput-Jaypur running for commission of offences punishable under sections 20(b)(ii)(C)/25/29, of the NDPS Act, in filing this application under section 439 of the Cr.P.C. for his release on bail. The Petitioner has also filed an application for extension of the period of interim bail pending this application as granted.

Heard Mr. Y. Das, learned Senior Counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. G.N. Rout, learned counsel for the State. 4.

Considering the submission made and the nature and gravity of the accusations as also the involvement of the Petitioner as those emerge from the materials available on

// 2 // record, further viewing the surrounding circumstances, I am not inclined to reconsider the prayer for grant of bail to the Petitioner. However, considering the submissions made and on going through the averments taken in the petition for extension of the period of interim bail when no such report has been received by the learned counsel for the State that the Petitioner has misused the liberty in any manner; it is directed that the Petitioner would continue to remain on interim bail till 12th June, 2022 on the same terms and conditions as imposed on him with further condition that he will positively surrender before the court in seisin of the case on 13.06.2022. 5.

Accordingly, the BLAPL and the I.A. stand disposed of.
