1. This matter is taken up through virtual mode.

2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

3. The Petitioner is in custody since 26th June, 2021 in connection with Dhamnagar P.S.

Case No.177/2021 corresponding to G.R. Case No.307/2021 pending in the court of learned J.M.F.C., Dhamnagar for the alleged commission of the offence under Sections 498-A/294/323/506/306 of the I.P.C..

4. The Petitioner is the husband of the deceased. It is alleged that the Petitioner used to treat the deceased with cruelty on several occasions. On the date of occurrence also the Petitioner is said to have assaulted the deceased in an intoxicated condition due to which the she consumed poison.

5. Having regard to the nature of accusations and the existence of materials prima facie in support the same, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore rejected.

6. It is open to the Petitioner to renew his prayer after examination of the informant and some other witnesses in the case.
