Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 02.09.2022 in connection with Gochhapada P.S. Case No.109 of 2022 corresponding to C.T. Case No. 59 of 2022 pending in the Court of learned Special Judgecum-District and Sessions Judge, Kandhamal, Phulbani for the alleged commission of offence under Section 20(b)(ii) (C) of NDPS Act.

Having regard to the fact that the seized contraband is more than commercial quantity, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore rejected.

The BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
