Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 01.11.2022 in connection with Chandrasekharpur P.S. Case No. 417 of 2022 corresponding to T.R. Case No. 482 of 2022 pending in the Court of learned District and Sessions Judge, Khurda, Bhubaneswar for the alleged commission of offence under Section 21(b)/27/29 of NDPS Act. 4.

Having regard to the fact that the seized contraband is less than commercial quantity weighing 3 grams of brown sugar, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall personally appear before the trial court on each date of posting of the case and in case of even a single default, necessary

order shall be passed to take him into custody. 5.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
