This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement Order No.
(Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel appearing for the State-Opposite Party. 3.
This writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner seeking a direction to the Opposite Party to dispose of the D.P. Case No.07/OAS/2018 initiated against him under Rule-15 of Orissa Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1962 vide Memorandum of Charge Sheet No.13235/R(CS) datd 12.04.2018 within a stipulated time period.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that although departmental proceeding is pending since 2018, no final decision has yet been taken on the same. He further submits that inquiry has already been concluded in the meantime and in the
// 2 // inquiry officer has submitted his report on 31.12.2021. As such he prays that a direction be issued to be departmental authority to conclude the aforesaid proceeding expeditiously taking into consideration the inquiry report dated 31.12.2021 submitted by the inquiry officer under Annexure-5 to the writ petition. 5.
Learned Additional Standing Counsel appearing for the State-Opposite Party, on the other hand, submits that he has no objection if a direction will be given to the sole Opposite Party to conclude the aforesaid departmental proceeding within a stipulated period of time.

Considering the aforesaid submissions, this Court disposes of the writ petition at the stage of admission by directing the Opposite Party to conclude the D.P. Case No.07/OAS/2018 in accordance with law taking into consideration the inquiry report dated 31.12.2021 submitted by the inquiry officer under Annexure-5 to the writ petition within a period of eight weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
