The Petitioners (28 in numbers) in this writ petition have challenged the Advertisement No.IIE44/2017/1588/OSSC dated 18th April, 2017 issued by the Odisha Staff Selection Commission for recruitment for the post of Soil Conservation Extension Worker under contractual basis under the Director of Soil Conservation and Watershed Development Mission, Odisha, Bhubaneswar.

The plea of the Petitioners is that instead of regularizing them in the said posts, though they have been working for a considerable length of period, such an advertisement would not have been issued for filling up such posts. This would impede their legitimate claim for regularization.

At the time of hearing today, Mr. Shakti Sekhar, learned Proxy counsel on behalf of Mr. S.D. Routray, learned

// 2 // Advocate furnished a copy of the order dated 20th September, 2022 passed in WPC(OAC) No.1533 of 2017 (Hajari Rout Vrs. State of Odisha & Ors.) and batch in respect of challenge being made to self-same advertisement. In the said case, this Court directed the Opposite Parties to consider the grievance of the Petitioners therein with certain time stipulation. 4.

In view of the aforesaid position, this writ petition is disposed of in the same terms as contained in order dated 20th September, 2022 passed by this Court in WPC(OAC) No.1533 of 2017 (Hajari Rout Vrs. State of Odisha & Ors.). (M.S. Raman) Judge MRS
