This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Government Advocate for the State. 3.

The petitioner challenges the inaction of police for not investigating the case properly in connection with Nandankanan P.S. Case No.93 of 2022, corresponding to G.R. Case No. 745 of 2022 pending in the Court of the learned J.M.F.C.(O), Bhubaneswar for commission of offences under Sections 420/467/468/471/384/385/506 of the IPC.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that highlighting all his grievances, the petitioner has filed a grievance petition dated 06.11.2022 before the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar (opposite party no.3), but till date no action has been taken on the same. In such background, he prays that necessary direction be given to opposite party no.3 to take a decision on the said grievance petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar (opposite party no.3) to take a decision on the above noted grievance petition dated 06.11.2022 in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

The CRLMP is accordingly disposed of.

Issue urgent certified copy of this order on proper application.
