This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 15.10.2022 in connection with Turumunga P.S. Case No. 150 of 2022 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 1998 of 2022 pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Keonjhar for the alleged commission of the offence under Sections468/471/420/379/411/34 of I.P.C. and Section-21 of the MMDR Act.

It is alleged that the petitioner being the driver of a truck was found transporting iron ore on the basis of a fake transit pass and without any other authority. The truck in question was seized and the petitioner was taken into custody.

Having regard to the nature of accusations and the fact that in the meantime, the investigation has been completed, this Court finds no reason to detain the petitioner in custody. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the Court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose.

Accordingly, the BLAPL is disposed of.
