Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner, learned counsel for the State.

The Petitioner is an accused in C.T. Case No. 51 of 2020, arising out of Jeypore Sadar P.S. Case No. 151 of 2020 pending on the file of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Koraput, under Section 20(b)(ii)(c) of the NDPS Act. 4.

Being aggrieved by the rejection of his application for bail U/s. 439 Cr.P.C. by the learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Koraput by order dated 30.09.2020, the present BLAPL has been filed.

Taking into account the quantity of contraband seized and role ascribed to the petitioner and in view of the bar under Section 37 of the NDPS Act, this Court is not inclined to entertain this bail application.

Accordingly, the BLAPL is dismissed.

Since the petitioner is stated to be in custody from 20.08.2020, the trial court shall do well to expedite the trial. ( V.Narasingh ) Judge Dhal
