Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioners are in custody since 27.03.2021 in connection with BBSR No. 111 Excise Station P.R. No. 93/2020-21 corresponding to T.R. Case No.35/169 of 2021 pending in the Court of learned 2nd Addl. Sessions Judge-cumSpecial Judge, Bhubaneswar for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C) of NDPS Act. 4.
It is alleged that the petitioners were travelling in a TATA ACE vehicle in which contraband ganja weighing 50 kgs was kept.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the petitioners, who are ladies, are daily labourers had taken lift in the said vehicle with the intention of going to Bhubaneswar. As such, they had no knowledge regarding the contents of the bags kept in the vehicle.

Having regard to the submissions as above, the materials on record, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the
petitioners be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that they shall personally appear before the trial Court on each date of posting of the case without fail.

BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
