The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to opposite parties to regularize the service of the petitioner with effect from the date of initial appointment as his name was sponsored by the Employment Exchange and the appointment was made against a regular sanctioned post with all consequential service and monetary benefits. 4.

In course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner may be permitted to move a fresh representation highlighting his grievances before the authority so that the same can be considered in the light of the ratio decided in the case of Basanta Kumar Barik v. State of Odisha and others (WPC (OA) No. 616 of 2017 disposed of on 26.11.2021), to which learned counsel for the State has no objection.

As agreed to by learned counsel for the parties, however, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this writ petition stands disposed of with the direction that in case the petitioner, with regard to the grievance made in this petition, files a fresh comprehensive representation before the authority concerned, within fifteen days hence, the said authority shall consider the same and pass a reasoned and speaking order, keeping in

view the ratio decided in the case of Basanta Kumar Barik (supra) as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of such representation along with the certified copy of this order.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition is disposed of.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
