Heard learned counsel for the Parties.

The Petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition with the following prayer:- "It is therefore most humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to issue Rule Nisi, in the nature of writ of MANDAMUS and/or any other appropriate writ/writs, direction/directions and order/orders, calling upon the Opp. parties, more particularly O.P. No.1, to show cause as to why the impugned letter No.111/dtd.10.11.2022 vide Annexure-9 shall not be quashed for being illegal and arbitrary in nature; AND Consequently be pleased to direct the Opp. parties to allow the petitioner to participate in the Mop-Up round in the counseling and admission in the Post-Graduate(Medical) counseling and admission in the Post-Graduate(Medical) selection by strictly adhereing to the guidelines vide Annexure-1;
AND If the Opp. Parties fails to show cause and/or show insufficient and/or false cause, make the said Rule Nisi absolute. 5.
He further submits that through highlighting their grievances, the petitioners have filed a representation vide Annexure-10 to the Writ Petition, but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, they pray that a direction be issued to Opposite Party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period. 6.
Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs Opposite Party No.2 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of seven days from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioners. 7.
