This is the second journey of the petitioner, who is in custody in connection with Koraput Sadar P.S. Case No.74 of 2018 corresponding to T.R. Case No.25 of 2018 pending in the court of the learned Addl. Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Koraput for the alleged commission of offence under sections 20(b)(ii)C)/25/29 of NDPS Act has filed this application under section 439, Cr.P.C. for his release on bail.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the State.

Considering the submissions made and further keeping in view the quantity of contraband ganja said to have been seized with other surrounding circumstances as those emanate from the materials on record, while being not inclined to re-consider the prayer for grant of bail to the Petitioner; this application stands disposed of directing the trial court to take all such effective steps

// 2 // as provided in law for early conclusion of the trial in accordance with law.

As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID-19 situation are continuing, learned Counsel for the parties may utilize a printout of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned Advocate, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.4587 dated 25th March, 2020 as modified by Court's Notice No.4798 dated 15th April, 2021 and Court's Office order circulated vide Memo Nos.514 and 515 dated 7th January, 2022.
