This matter is taken up through virtual/physical mode.

1. The petitioner claiming to be a public spirited lawyer had filed a representation before the Government dated 15.06.2021 seeking establishment of permanent Headquarter of Western Odisha Development Council (WODC), within the Council area as per the provisions of Section-3, sub-section-4 of the Western Odisha Development Council Act, 2000 and nomination of Members of the Loksabha and Members of Odisha Legislative Assembly to the Council as provided U/s.4(a)(b) in particular and nomination of other experts as per the provisions U/s.4 of the said act for lawful, complete and effective function of the council. He filed W.P.(C) No.21554 of 2021 seeking identical relief, which was disposed of by a Division Bench of this Court vide order dated 03.08.2021 with a direction to the

// 2 // appropriate authority to decide the aforesaid representation.

2. Since the needful was not done within the stipulated time, hence the present contempt.

3. Upon notice, a compliance affidavit has been filed along with an order dated 24.12.2021 filed by the Government in compliance of the directions passed by this Court.

4. Mr. Samantaray submits that the orders have been complied with and the petitioner has liberty in terms of the very same order dated 03.08.2021 to seek his available remedy if still not satisfied with the action of the Government.

5. In view of the above, the CONTC is dismissed as infructuous.
