In this application under Section 482 Cr. P.C., the prayer has been made by the petitioner for completion of trial in T.R. No. 07 of 2020 pending in the file of learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, Kuchinda against the opposite party no.2 for commission of offences punishable under Sections 294/ 323/ 448/ 506 of the I.P.C. read with Section 3(1) of SC & ST (POA) Act, 1989, within a stipulated time.

Ms. Mohini Sahoo, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that cognizance of offence has been taken vide order dated 04.01.2021 but till date trial has not commenced for which the petitioner has approached this Hon'ble Court.

I am not satisfied that this is a fit case for issuing any direction in exercise of power under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. to the learned trial court to complete the trial within a stipulated period, as nothing has been brought to my notice that the case is otherwise ready for trial but is being deliberately adjourned. The CRLMC is accordingly dismissed.

Liberty is granted to the petitioner to approach this Court afresh with supporting materials in case, there is undue delay in commencement of trial.
