Heard learned counsel for Petitioner and learned counsel for the State-Opposite Parties.

The present Writ Petition has been filed with the following prayer:- "(a) To issue appropriate order / direction by directing the State Respondents to take promptitude steps / diligent steps in the matter of absorb the applicant on the regular basis against the substantive post of Ophthalmic Assistant taking account his long standing service experience as ophthalmic assistant (Contractual) against existing vacant posts.

(ii) To allow this O.A.

(iii) And pass such other order/orders as may be deemed fit and proper for the interest of justice".

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that through highlighting his grievances, the Petitioner has filed a representation at Annexure-6 to the Writ Petition, before the opposite party No.1 but till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a

// 2 // direction be issued to opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition within a specific time period. 5.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs opposite party No.1 to take a decision on the above noted petition in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
