This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner as well as learned Additional Standing Counsel appearing for the State-Opposite Parties.

This writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner challenging the order of transfer dated 18.11.2022 issued by the Opposite Party No.2-Collector, Balasore under Annexure-1 whereby he has been transferred from Remuna Block to Baliapal Block.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that the Petitioner has personal difficulty and his mother is aged about 80 years and also Petitioner is looking after his mother, so also Baliapal Block is situated about 80 Kms from his native

// 2 // residential place. In such view of the matter, the Petitioner has approached before the B.D.O., Remuna Block by filing representation under Annexure-2 and the same has been forwarded to the Opposite Party No.2-Collector and District Magistrate, Balasore on 19.11.2022 for taking a decision in the matter.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel appearing for the State-Opposite Parites, on the other hand, submits that since the representation of the Petitioner is pending before the Opposite Party No.2-Collector and District Magistrate, Balasore, a direction be given to the Opposite Party No.2 to take a decision on the same.

Considering such submission, this Court disposes of the writ petition by directing the Opposite Party No.2-Collector and District Magistrate, Balasore to take a decision on the representation of the Petitioner dated 19.11.2022, if the same is still pending, within a period of four weeks from date of production of certified copy of this order. The decision so taken thereon shall be communicated to the Petitioner within a week thereafter.

With the aforesaid observation and direction, this writ petition stands disposed of.
