This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Additional Standing Counsel appearing for the State-Opposite Party No.1.

The Petitioner is seeking pre-arrest bail in connection with Balasore Town P.S. Case No.259 of 2022, corresponding to C.T. Case No.1082 of 2022, pending in the court of learned S.D.J.M., Balasore, registered for alleged commission of offences punishable under Sections 498-A/323/294/506/34 of the I.P.C. read with Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

Considering the nature of allegation, gravity of offence and the fact of the case, I am not inclined to grant pre-arrest bail to the Petitioner. However, it is directed that in the event the Petitioner surrenders and moves an application for bail before the Court in seisin over the matter within a period of three weeks from today in the aforesaid case, the Court in seisin over the matter shall release him on

// 2 // bail on such terms and conditions as it would be deemed just and proper with further conditions that :- I.

Petitioner shall not threaten, harass or terrorize the informant and his family members in any manner whatsoever; and II.

he shall appear before the Court in seisin over the matter on each date of posting of the case without fail.

Violation of any of the terms and conditions shall entail cancellation of bail.

Accordingly, the ABLAPL is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
