This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 18.11.2022 in connection with Chatrapur Excise Station, Ganjam P.R. No. 84 of 2022-23 corresponding to 2(a) C.C. Case No.22 of 2022(N) pending in the Court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge-cum- Special Judge (NDPS), Chatrapur, Ganjam for the alleged commission of the offence under Section-20(b)(ii)(B) of the N.D.P.S. Act.

Considering the fact that the seized contraband is less than the commercial quantity being 6 Kgs. of contraband ganja, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the Court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose. 5.

Accordingly, the BLAPL is disposed of.
