This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 24.08.2022 in connection with Berhampur Sadar P.S. Case No. 377 of 2022 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 2000 of 2022 pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Berhampur for the alleged commission of the offence under Sections-420/272/273/34 of the I.P.C read with Sections-20/24 COTP Act, 2003 and Sec. 59 of Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006.

Having regard to the nature of accusations and the fact that the coaccused has been released on bail as reflected in the order of rejection as also taking into account the period of detention in custody, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the Court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose.

Accordingly, the BLAPL is disposed of.
