1. Heard the learned counsels for the Petitioner and the State.

2. By means of this application, the Petitioner seeks grant of bail U/s.438, Cr.P.C. in apprehension of arrest for his alleged involvement in the offences U/s. 20(b)(ii)(C) of the N.D.P.S. Act, in connection with Chhatrapur Excise P.R. No.42 of 2022-23 corresponding to 2(a) CC Case No.21 of 2022 pending in the court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Chhatrapur, Ganjam.

3. The Petitioner is allegedly involved in the transaction of commercial quantity of contraband article. Having regard to the seriousness of the allegations and the gravity of the offence, I am not inclined to admit the Petitioner to bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected and the ABLAPL stands dismissed. ( Chittaranjan Dash ) Judge S.K. Parida
