This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The Petitioner in this writ petition assails the inaction of Regional Transport Officer, Keonjhar-Opposite Party in granting fitness certificate in respect of the vehicle bearing Registration No.OR-09-N-4245 (Truck).

Mr. Sarangi, learned counsel submits that although the Petitioner has already deposited the up-to-date M.V. Tax and fitness fee since 21st July, 2022, the R.T.O., Kheonjhar is not taking any step for allotment of slot with regard to fitness of the aforesaid vehicle. He, therefore, prays for a direction to the R.T.O., Keonjhar to take necessary steps for allotment of slot in respect of the aforesaid vehicle.

Taking into consideration the rival contentions of the parties, this without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case of the Petitioner disposes of this writ petition with a direction to the Regional Transport Officer, Keonjhar-Opposite

// 2 // Party to take decision on the Online application filed by the Petitioner on 21st July, 2022 as at Annexure-2 for grant of fitness certificate in respect of the vehicle bearing Registration No.OR-09-N-4245 (Truck) in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of fifteen days from the date of production of certified copy of this order, if the same is still pending and communicate the result thereof to the Petitioner forthwith.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
