This matter is taken up through video conferencing mode. 2.

Heard Ms. S. Mohanty, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S.K. Samal, learned Additional Government Advocate. 3.

At the outset, on the oral prayer, Ms. S. Mohanty is permitted to implead the Civil Supply Officer-cum-Nodal Officer, Kendrapara as opposite party no.3 to the writ petition. Office is directed to make consequential corrections in the cause title. 4.

According to Ms. Mohanty, the petitioner is aggrieved by non-issuance of a ration card in her favour though she has applied for the same and such application has been acknowledged vide Acknowledgement Receipt under Annexure-1. She further submits that on account of such inaction, the petitioner is suffering a lot. During course of hearing, she submits that liberty may be granted to petitioner to approach the Civil Supply Officer-cum-Nodal Officer, Kendrapara (Opposite Party No.3) by way of filing a representation for redressal of her grievances and the said

// 2 // officer be directed to take a decision on such representation within a stipulated time.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court grants liberty to the petitioner to approach the Civil Supply Officer-cum-Nodal Officer, Kendrapara (Opposite Party No.3) by filing a representation along with a certified copy of this order by Registered Post within a period of two weeks. In the event such representation is filed before the opposite party no.3, the said opposite party directed to take a decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of such representation and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

The writ application is accordingly disposed of. 6.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
