The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite parties to settle the land in respect of Hal Plot No.1464, Ac.0.040 decimals under Hal Khata No.668 of Mouza-Nuapada in the district of Cuttack in favour of the petitioner and change the Kissam Sarada-II to Homestead land.

Learned State Counsel contended that the petitioner has not applied before the authority in the prescribed form and, therefore, his case has not been considered.

Considering limited nature of grievance, however, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this writ petition stands disposed of with the direction that in case the petitioner, with regard to the grievance made in this petition, files an application in the prescribed form before the authority within fifteen days hence, the said authority shall consider the same and pass appropriate order in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of such application along with the certified copy of this order. Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
