Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State as well as learned counsel for the informant.

This is an application under section 438 of Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in connection with Kissannagar P.S. Case No.197 of 2021 corresponding to G.R. Case No.2914 of 2021 pending in the court of learned J.M.F.C. (R), Cuttack for alleged commission of offences under sections 498-A/302/304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code read with section 4 of the

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is the mother-in-law of the deceased and the husband of the deceased has already been arrested and taken into judicial custody and therefore, the anticipatory bail application of the petitioner may be favourably considered.

Learned counsel for the State opposed the prayer for bail.

Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties and in view of the nature and gravity of accusation against the petitioner, while not inclining to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner, I direct that in the event the petitioner surrenders before the learned Court below within a period of four weeks from today and move for bail, the same shall be considered in accordance with law expeditiously by the Courts below. The case records shall be made available to the Court concerned. The ABLAPL stands disposed of.
