Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner has been arrested in connection with Rajkanika P.S. Case No. 177 of 2020 corresponding to G.R. Case No. 289 of 2020 pending in the court of learned J.M.F.C., Aul for the alleged commission of offence under Section 376 of IPC..

Considering the severity of the allegations and the availability of materials prima facie in support thereof, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore rejected. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to renew his prayer after examination of the victim during trial. 5.

The BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
