ORDER

1. This matter taken up through hybrid arrangement. 2.Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Counsel for the State.

3. According to learned counsel for the petitioner, the grievance of the petitioner in this case pertains to nonconsideration of representation dated 21.11.2022 regarding giving direction to any superior officer to personally supervise Kishannagar P.S. Case No.205 dated 12.11.2022. and also give direction to change the I.O. and engage /depute any police officer except present investigation officer, in Kishannagar P.S. case No.205 of 2022 namely, Achutananda Sahoo who has taken money from the accused person and pressurize the petitioner/informant to compromise the case. He further submits that though the petitioner has submitted

// 2 // his grievance petition dated 21.11.2022 to the Superintendent of Police, Rural, Cuttack under Annexure-2 Series, no action has been taken on the same till date. In such background, he prays that necessary direction be issued to the opposite party no.2 to take a decision on the said grievance petition within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Rural, Cuttack to take a decision on the grievance petition dated 21.11.2022 under Annexure-2 Series in accordance with law keeping in the mind the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Lalita Kumari v. Govt. of U.P. & Others1 within a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not already been disposed of.

5. Accordingly, the CRLMP is disposed of.

6. Issue urgent certified copy of this order on proper application.
