This matter is taken up through Video Conferencing Mode. 2.

Heard Mr. Aparesh Bhoi, learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner and Mr. D. Mund, learned Additional Government Advocate for the State.

The present application has been challenging the inaction of police in registering the F.I.R. on the complaint lodged by the Petitioner. It is further prayed for a direction to the police to provide protection to the Petitioner as the life and property of the Petitioner is in danger.

Mr. Mund, learned Additional Government Advocate appearing for the State submits that the complaint lodged by the Petitioner registered as Remuna P.S. Case No.195 dated 31.12.2021. The police has already initiated the investigation of the case.

With regard to protection of life and property of the Petitioner, Mr. Bhoi, learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that he has submitted his grievance before the Superintendent of Police, Balasore on 25.09.2021 and the same is stated to be pending before the Superintendent of Police, Balasore.

In view of the aforesaid developments and in the interest of justice, this Court disposes of the CRLMP application with a direction to the Superintendent of Police, Balasore-Opposite Party No.2 to consider the grievance petition filed by the Petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of production of authenticated copy of this order. In the event, it is found that danger is eminent on the life and property of the Petitioner, the Opposite Party No.2 shall take steps to protect the life and property of the Petitioner in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observation, the CRLMP is disposed of. 8.

As the restrictions due to resurgence of COVID -19 situation are continuing, learned counsel for the parties may utilize a print out of the order available in the High Court's website, at par with certified copy, subject to attestation by the concerned Advocate, in the manner prescribed vide Court's Notice No.4587, dated 25th March, 2020 as modified by Court's Notice No.4798, dated 15th April, 2021 and Office Order dated 7th January, 2022.
