This matter is taken up through Video Conferencing Mode.

Heard Mr. Subudhi, learned counsel for the Petitioners and Mr. Mohanty, learned ASC.

According to Mr. Subudhi, the Petitioners are aggrieved by the inaction of Opposite Parties in extending them the benefits under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Policy of the State Government.

Mr. Mohanty, learned ASC submits that instead of approaching this Court, the Petitioners should have approached the Collector and District Magistrate, Angul-Opposite Party No.2 for redressal of their grievances. In such background, Mr. Subudhi submits that the Petitioners may be granted liberty to approach Opposite Party No.2 and the said Opposite Party be directed to take a decision on the same within a specified time. 5.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court

// 2 // grants liberty to the Petitioners to file individual representations before the Collector and District Magistrate, Angul-Opposite Party No.2 within a period of four weeks by registered post with AD along with a copy of this order. In event such representations are received by the Collector, Angul, he / she is directed to take decision on the same in accordance with law within a period of four weeks there from and communicate the result of such exercise to the Petitioners.

With the direction as aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of.

Issue urgent certified copy of the order on proper application.
