1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.
2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned counsel for the State.
3. According to learned counsel for the Petitioner, the grievance of the Petitioner in this case is that the Petitioner has filed a written report on 02.12.2022 before the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar as well as Inspector In-Charge, Capital Police Station, Unit-1, Bhubaneswar i.e. opposite party Nos.2 and 3 respectively for registration. As no action has been taken by the said opposite parties, he prays that necessary direction be given to the opposite party No.3 to take a decision on the above noted written report within a specific time period.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the I.I.C., Capital Police Station to take a decision on the written report in accordance with law, keeping in the mind the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Lalita Kumari v. Govt. of U.P. & Others1 within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of.
5. Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.
6. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
