This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode).

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Government Advocate for the State of Odisha. The petitioner Bipin Bihari Behera has challenged the transfer order dated 05.12.2022 issued by the

// 2 // Collector -cumC.E.O., Zilla Parishad, Keonjhar (opposite party no.2) under Annexure-1 and consequential relieve order dated 06.12.2022 issued by the Block Development Officer, Telkoi (opposite party no.4) under Annexure-2 in transferring the petitioner, who was working as Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) from Khuntapada Gram Panchayat of Telkoi Block to Budhikud Gram Panchayat of Anandapur Block which is stated to be 170 k.ms. away from his present place of his posting. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that a representation for cancellation/modification of the transfer order has been filed by the petitioner before the Collector -cumC.E.O., Zilla Parishad, Keonjhar (opposite party no.2) and the opposite party no.2 may be directed to consider the same sympathetically.

Learned counsel for the State submitted that let the representation be disposed of in accordance with law. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the transfer order passed under Annexure-1, this Court directs the opposite party no.2, the Collector -cum- C.E.O.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
