This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The Petitioner in this writ petition seeks for a direction for early disposal of C.P. No.29 of 2021 and I.A. No.06 of 2021 pending before learned Judge, Family Court, Angul. 3.

Mr. Pradhan, learned counsel submits that the C.P. No.29 of 2021 has been filed by the Petitioner under Section 13-1 (i-a) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 (for short 'the Act') for dissolution of marriage by a decree of divorce. Although the Opposite Party has already entered appearance, but he is taking adjournment to file his written statement. Hence, disposal of the civil proceeding is being delayed. Opposite Party has also filed an application under Section 24 of the Act against the present Petitioner-Wife for pendente lite maintenance, which is still pending before learned Judge, Family Court.

It is his submission that the Petitioner is serving in Police Department as Constable and it is very difficult on her part to attend the Court on each date to pursue the matter. Hence, learned counsel for the Petitioner prays for early disposal of the civil proceeding as well as interim application.

To a query made by this Court, Mr. Pradhan, learned counsel submits that the Petitioner has not yet approached learned Judge, Family Court for the aforesaid relief. 6.

In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of with an observation that the Petitioner, if so advised, may move learned Judge, Family Court, Angul for early disposal of C.P. No.29 of 2021 and I.A. No.06 of 2021.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
