Heard learned counsel for the petitioners.

Order No.

Instant petition is filed by petitioner No.1 seeking extension of time to surrender before the learned Court below for the reason stated therein.

This Court by order dated 21st December, 2022 in CRLMC No.3928 of 2022 allowed the petitioners to surrender before the court of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Koraput within a stipulated period. It is submitted by learned counsel for petitioner No.1 that he was outside the State and hence, could not surrender in compliance of the Court's directions issued in CRLMC No.3928 of 2022, hence, the need for the extension.

Recorded the objection of Mr. Acharya, learned ASC for the State.

As petitioner No.1 was directed to surrender within the time stipulated and has long expired, the Court, in the interest of justice, is of the view that it should be extended.

Accordingly, it is ordered.

The I.A. stands allowed with a direction for petitioner No.1 to surrender before the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge, Koraput in connection with C.T. Case No.85 of 2018 on or before 14th February, 2025. It is made clear that there shall be no further extension in future.
