Petitioner in this writ petition for a direction to the Grievance Redressal Forum, Dhenkanal (GRF)- Opposite Party No.4 to consider and dispose of his grievance /complaint filed on 25th August, 2022 (Annexure-3).

It is submitted by Mr. Mishra, learned counsel for the Petitioner that Opposite Party-TPCODL has raised inflated bill and disconnected the power supply to the premises of the Petitioner. For redressal of his grievance, the Petitioner has made a complaint before the GRF, Dhenkanal on 25th August, 2022, but the same has not yet been paid any heed. Due to disconnection of power supply, the Petitioner, without prejudice to his case, paid a sum of Rs.59,000/- on 9th December, 2022 and the power supply has already been restored to his premises. He, therefore, submits that a direction may be made to the GRF, Dhenkanal to consider and dispose of his grievance /complaint expeditiously and it is further prayed that till disposal of his

// 2 // grievance petition, no coercive action should be taken against the Petitioner.

Taking into consideration that the outstanding bill as against the premises of the Petitioner is Rs.1,25,084/- and the Petitioner has paid a sum of Rs.59,000/- out of the same on 9th December, 2022, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction that Opposite Party No.4-GRF, Dhenkanal shall do well to consider and dispose of the grievance/complaint of the Petitioner dated 25th August, (Annexure-3) as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of one month from the date of production of certified copy of this order giving opportunity of hearing to the Petitioner, if the same is still pending.

Till disposal of the grievance/complaint of the Petitioner dated 25th August, 2022 (Annexure-3), no coercive action shall be taken for realization of the arrear amount in respect of premises of the Petitioner. It is made clear that the Petitioner shall go on paying the current bills in respect of his premises. Issue urgent certified copy of the order on proper application.
