The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite parties to settle the pieces of land and to issue record of right in their favour, as they are landless persons, within a stipulated time.

Learned State Counsel states that since the petitioners want to settle the land in their favour, they have to file application in the prescribed form before the authority so that the same can be considered in accordance with law.

In the above view of the matter, this writ petition stands disposed of permitting the petitioners to file appropriate application in the prescribed from before the authority for settlement of the land in their favour within a period of ten days hence. If such application is filed, the authority shall consider the same and pass appropriate order in accordance with law. 6.
Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
