This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel for School & Mass Education Department. Perused the writ application and documents annexed to the writ application. 3.

The present writ application has been filed by the Petitioner with the following prayer:

"Under the above circumstances, it is therefore humbly prayed that the Hon'ble Court be graciously pleased to direct the Opposite Parties to correct the father's name of the Petitioner in the certificate issued by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha within a stipulated period as deem fit and proper.

b) And or pass any such other writ/writs, order/orders or direction/directions in the fitness of the case." 3.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the Petitioner that he has approached the authority for correction of the name of the father

// 2 // of the Petitioner in the final Board certificate. However, the same has not been considered by the authority. Being aggrieved by such conduct of the authority, the Petitioner has approached this Court. 4.

Learned Standing Counsel for School & Mass Education on the other hand submits that the application has to be routed through the head of the institution to the Opposite Party No.2-Secretary, Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.

Considering such submission, the Petitioner is directed to file a fresh representation along with supporting documents before the Opposite Party Nos. 7 & 8 and the Opposite Party Nos. 7 & 8 are directed to examine the matter and make necessary recommendation to Opposite Party No.2. In the event the Petitioner approaches the Opposite Party Nos.7 & 8 and the Opposite Party Nos. 7 & 8 recommend to the Opposite Party No.2, the Opposite Party No.2 shall do well to take a decision in accordance with law by passing a reasoned and speaking order.

With the aforesaid observation the writ application stands disposed of.
