This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

This contempt petition has been filed alleging noncompliance of the order dated 26th April, 2021 passed by this Court in W.P.(C) No.11717 of 2021 directing the Tahasildar, Puri-Opposite Party No.2 to dispose of Mutation Case No. 1635 of 2016 in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four months from the date of production of authenticated copy of the said order, if there is no legal impediment.

The Tahasildar, Puri by filing an affidavit on 9th May, 2022 stated that Mutation Case No. 1635 of 2016 has already been disposed of vide order dated 7th June, 2016, i.e. much prior to filing of W.P.(C) No. 11717 of 2021. The Petitioner suppressing the said fact had filed the writ petition. The matter, however, is pending before the Sub-Collector, Puri in Mutation Appeal No. 54 of 2022.

In view of such affidavit, the contempt petition is dropped.
