The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the opposite parties to pay 50% of the initial pay of the post of R.I. which he was holding on the date of retirement towards minimum pension with effect from the date of entitlement and count the entire period of service for pension. He further seeks direction to the opposite parties to pay the differential pension within a stipulated time. 3.

In course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the case of the petitioner has already been recommended by the opposite party no.3-Collector, Bhadrak to the opposite party no.1 vide Annexure-4 dated 04.03.2021 and, therefore, direction may be given to the authority to take a decision on the same within a stipulated time, to which learned State Counsel has raised no objection.

As agreed by learned counsel for the parties, this Court disposes of the writ petition directing opposite party no.1 to take a decision on the recommendation made by the opposite party no.3 under Annexure-4 dated 04.03.2021, and pass appropriate order in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
