This matter is taken up through virtual/physical mode. 1.

Petitioner is stated to have filed an application under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (for short, "the Act, 1894") before the Collector seeking the award of enhanced compensation as awarded by the Reference Court in case of other land losers who had filed applications under Section 18 of the Act, 1894 for enhancement of compensation. This Court vide order dated 18th December, 2020 passed in W.P.(C) No.31662 of 2020 had directed the Director (R&R) & Ex-Officio, Addl. Secretary to Government, Department of Water Resources exercising the powers of Collector qua the lands acquired for construction of Lower Indra Irrigation Project, Khariar to take steps for determination and

// 2 // disbursement of the enhanced compensation within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the order.

At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the parties are agreed that the present Contempt Petition has become infructuous in view of his application having been disposed of vide order dated 14th September, 2022 in compliance of the directions passed by this Court on 18th December, 2020.

In view of the above, the present Contempt Petition is disposed of as infructuous.
