Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 04.07.2021 in connection with P.R. No. 17/2021 corresponding to 2(a)CC No. 11/2021 pending in the Court of learned Addl. Dist. & Sessions Judge, Baliguda for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 20(b)(ii)(c) of NDPS Act.

It is alleged that while the petitioner and another person were transporting ganja in an Indigo car, they were apprehended by the staff of the excise of G.Udayagiri and on search of the vehicle, 24 Kg of ganja was recovered. It is submitted that the petitioner was the driver and had taken the other person on hire on good faith without knowing about the contents of the bag he was carrying. 5.
Considering the submissions as above, materials on record and the period of detention in custody, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail.

Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall personally appear before the trial Court on each date of posting of the case without fail.

BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
